💪🏽Results! People worked hard and we saw some amazing results in our focus areas this fall. We want to celebrate everyone’s successes and take a moment to appreciate what happens when we put our minds to something and take the steps to achieve it. The results below are for the people who signed up for the Fall Challenge and were able to complete all the test-in and test-out exercises. Also check out the amazing PR thread on the Solcana VIP Facebook page where anyone can share and celebrate results from our Fall Programming Cycle.
Highlights!
We are choosing to highlight a few people who made great improvements during the challenge. For fun and excitement, we will be giving these athletes 🎉PRIZES🎉 from a local business! These rankings are based on percentages, but take a look below if you’d like to see the raw scores.
Most Improved Overall: Missy H
Missy put in the work and it showed. She had the highest percentage improvements in both DL and Clean, and she made some impressive weight, elevation and range of motion improvements in push up. Truly inspiring!
Most Improved Hang Clean: Dorea R
Dorea was just getting back into a routine of exercise at the start of the challenge and actually hit some of her highest numbers in the middle of the cycle. Dorea made choices to be safe with her body and meet herself where she is at and still saw really solid improvements including a 38% increase in the Clean.
Most Improved Push Up: Katherine Sh
Katherine has been showing up to Group Fitness, Fit From Home and Masters and has put in the work. Her diligence and efforts paid off appreciably in the Push Up where she was able to go from barely getting 3, to adding 35lbs over bodyweight!!!
Most Improved Deadlift: Rah H
Rah has made some amazing strength gains in their time at Solcana and was particularly inspiring in their Deadlift. They came in tenth overall and were able to increase their Deadlift by 33% up to 180 lbs.
Spirit of the Challenge: Joshua H
When I asked the coaches who exemplified diligence and commitment to high quality progress, the answer came back quickly: Joshua H. Coach Amelia says, “Josh is super consistent [..] and cares a lot about learning quality movement patterns!” Coach Brooke says, “[He] comes to open gym every Sunday for an additional chest day and PRd his bench because of it!!” Josh came in 19th out of 26 ranks of improvement, which is still super impressive because he has been at this for a long time and percentages of improvement can get pretty small when someone trains for a long time. Josh continues to strive for higher quality and understanding of the movements and that is why he embodies the Spirit of the Challenge!
